Iceflex is mithral that has been treated with white or silver[2] dragon breath, infusing the metal with its subtle wintery magic.[3]
Description[]
Iceflex has a glowing dark blue color.[4] Mithral itself has a sparkling silverish-type, gun-metal coloration with elements of flakes and light in it, but iceflex has a more dull bluish hue, almost like ice crystals have embedded within, seeming to hold faint specks of light blue energy within. It is cold to the touch.[5]

Campaign Two: The Mighty Nein[]
"Uthodurn" (2x73)[]
The Mighty Nein were told by Umagorn Smeltborne that he needed iceflex to reforge the broken pieces of the Star Razor. He explained what it is and suggested they ask Ava Endlewood if she has any.
"Manifold Morals" (2x74)[]
Ava Endlewood sold the party some mithral trinkets, but didn't have any iceflex in stock. Umagorn melted the miscellaneous mithral into a single ingot, and told them that it will change color when it is transformed by a white dragon's breath into iceflex.
"Rime and Reason" (2x75)[]
The party successfully enticed the white dragon Gelidon to breathe onto the mithral ingot, transforming it into the iceflex they needed.
"Refjorged" (2x76)[]
Returning to Uthodurn, the party escorted Umagorn and Deilin to the Underforge where Umagorn successfully used the iceflex to re-engrave the Star Razor's runes[6] and created a sword of silver metal with a slight blue shimmer to it, akin to the coloration of iceflex.[7]
