Honor Kinnabari is the newest spellwright of the League of Miracles as of 836 PD.[2]

Description[]

Appearance[]

Honor is a robustly built tiefling with long white hair, sheet-white skin and red eyes, and two horns that take on pinkish tones at the tips. She usually wears white and red robes (the colors of the dwarven clan she grew up with) and a staff that matches her whole aesthetic.[2][3][2][4]

Personality[]

Honor is a dedicated and honorable woman who wants to prove her worth and loyalty to the League of Miracles. While she's been amazed with her organization since she was a little girl, she has a certain mistrust of its honesty.[2][4]

Biography[]

Honor grew up in Westruun, with dwarven parents that came from the Alabaster Sierras. When she was still a child, she watched how the spellwrights of the League of Miracles rebuilt the Market Ward with their adranach constructs in just a few days.[4] This event impressed her so much that she decided she would join the League, eventually learning magic and manifesting a talent for hemocraft.[4]

Honor successfully joined the League of Miracles, and after some time, she impressed the Wonderworker enough for them to promote her to spellwright, thus teaching the young tiefling how to create her own adranach. One of the first missions that Honor accomplished with her arcane construct was to rebuild again the Market Ward after it was destroyed by magma landsharks.[2]

By 836 PD, Honor was considered a good asset for the League of Miracles, but her honorable attitude caused mistrust in other less idealistic spellwrights; Honor herself was starting to feel unsure about the moral nature of the organization.[2][4]

Trivia[]

  • Many tieflings take a "virtue name" reflecting a principle by which they aspire to live;[5] Honor is an honorable person,[2] which obviously fits the pattern.
    • She shares her name with Honor, a tiefling girl adopted along her sister Magic by Irven Liel and Fenton Tethwick, a couple from Palebank Village.[6]
    • Her surname is the Greek form of "cinnabar", a shade of red named for the mineral. This is likely a reference to Honor's use of hemocraft.
  • She is from the same city as Balthasar Bleakskull, another adventurer representative of his subclass in Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn.[7]
  • Her first mission as a spellwright was to reconstruct the same place where she was inspired to become a member of the League of Miracles.[2]
  • Despite belonging to a family of dwarves,[4] her complexion and height do not correspond to that lineage.
