Biography[]

Background[]

"Into the Greyspine Mines" (1x02)[]

Foreman Hieris was overjoyed to meet Vox Machina when they showed up at his office asking for information about the mine. He gave them a map of the mine and told them about the persistent problem with the stitched-together creatures that had been coming from the tunnels, from masses of goblins to more foreign creatures. He told them a story of a cousin, who was a member of the Carvers and died fighting off a Duergar that had too many mouths and eyes. Vex'ahlia offered to avenge him, but it turned out they weren't that close.

The party invited him to join them at the tavern, but he had six hours left on his shift, so he instead invited Vox Machina to stay and offered them some dried fruit and meat. Grog, disinterested, made an excuse to leave, with the rest of the party following his lead. Vex gave him a wink that tingled his shoulders, although he said it might've been from the diabetes. Shortly after, Vax'ildan looked back in, catching him eating dried fruit, to ask the time and store availability. After he answered them, the party again bade him farewell, Keyleth admonishing him to eat vegetables, and Grog throwing him some food from the Bag of Holding that was rotted. Tiberius Stormwind cleaned up the mess and gave him a piece of the Telecription Scroll so he could request their help, then the party left.
