Grimoria is a "young medium whose sideshow distractions may be more than they seem, and whose clever scams might hold a glimpse of the supernatural."[3] She is played by Aimee Carrero.
Description[]
Grimoria is a young 18-year-old woman, slight of build[4] with naturally curly hair.[5] Her real name is Alma Látigo.[6][7]
Her original goal was to learn how to give peace to the souls that she encounters.[8] She is fearful that one day she will encounter the souls of her parents, and of what they will think of her.[9]
Biography[]
Background[]
Grimoria carries with her memories not her own of spirits she has encountered throughout her brief life.[10] She has had a supernatural ability linked to touch or to artifacts since her parents died at the end of the War[11] and she was taken in by Cynthia and Oliver Fogg.
Like almost all Candela operatives, Grimoria leads a double life and holds a public position working for the Foggs, dealers in curiosities.[12] Her home and workplace is with them in The Eaves neighborhood. Her room is on the top floor of the Foggs' townhouse in a small and simple bedroom with a picture postcard of Westecklyn on the desk.[13] Her job with the Foggs is to pose as a sensitive, spinning stories about the artifacts and items they are attempting to sell to the gullible of Newfaire.[14]
"Candela Obscura: Seeking Serenity" (CO4x01)[]
Grimoria was scarred by injuries suffered on a ship during a storm and exposure to the artifacts the Circle of the Crimson Mirror was transporting. As part of the scar damage, her sensitivity to the minds and presences of the dead expanded to the auditory as well as touch-related.
"Candela Obscura: Into the Abyss" (CO4x03)[]
After the Circle's final adventure together, Grimoria discovered a note Leo Amicus had left in his apartment to be read in the event of his death (which did not take place). It left all his possessions to Grimoria.
