Gregory Fince was a member of the Tal'Dorei Council.
Biography[]
Campaign One: Vox Machina[]
"The Story of Vox Machina" (Sx06)
Syldor Vessar hired Vox Machina to find Sir Gregory after he had gone missing. When the party went searching for him, they found his home dark and still. They discovered and defeated a succubus and some demons in the basement, and also found the tortured corpse of Sir Gregory. They found Sir Gregory's notes regarding the attempted assassination of Sovereign Uriel, describing how the royal family had since grown strange and withdrawn. The notes mentioned someone named General Krieg as the individual who thwarted the assassination attempt, and so Vox Machina decided to go speak with him.[4]
Sir Gregory's home had been under surveillance by the Clasp, because the business of the shady organization could be affected by the political climate. Spireling Modeth had several members of Vox Machina abducted after they were seen leaving the building in order to interrogate them.[5]
The Legend of Vox Machina[]
When the Tal'Dorei Council discussed how they would react to mysterious attacks outside of the city, Fince insisted that they should attempt to capture and study the creature and use it as a weapon. He was against sending the armies of Emon to destroy it, and didn't agree with putting up public notices asking for mercenaries, disagreeing with the idea of sending Vox Machina to battle. During the time Vox Machina was gone, he began gathering intel, and became suspicious of General Krieg. He snuck into the general's home to look for evidence, where Vox Machina cornered him, believing Fince was an accomplice of the dragon looking to murder Krieg. Before Fince could explain himself, Krieg stabbed him from behind and killed him.
