“
Like all of the great rites of passage in life, death changes us, and simply returning to the world of the living does not undo that change, nor is it at all simple. Those who have passed beyond the veil are marked by it, even if they manage to find their way back.
”
Ged Narrel is a director in the Claret Orders and the author of the essay "Unfinished Rites", a text covering death and resurrection.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Narrel was referred to as a sage and the author of the book On the Price of Death and Resurrection in the original Critical Role: Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting, with text identical to that of "Unfinished Rites".[2][1]
Trivia[]
- Ged is the only named Claret Director who's not explicitly described as a follower of the Matron of Ravens.
- However, his area of expertise as an author seems to be death, resurrection, and the afterlife, which are part of the Raven Queen's domain as a goddess.
