The Wand of Smiles is a magic item that can target a humanoid and force them to smile for one minute.

Description[]

The wand is well carved and is easily distinguishable from natural, rougher wood.[4] It has three charges. The wielder can, as an action, expend a charge to cause a humanoid within 30 feet to make a DC 10 Charisma save. On a failure, that creature must smile for a minute.[2]

History[]

The Mighty Nein found the wand in the Manticore's lair.[5] Caleb later identified it and gave it to Jester after failing in an attempt to use it on her.[6]. She almost immediately used it against Nott,[7] and later used it on several occasions to make otherwise surly people smile, including Beau[8], Kutha,[9][10] and Gustav Fletching.[11]

Jester attempted but failed to use the Wand as a weapon against an Aeorian nullifier in the ruins of Aeor.[12]
