Ezordam-Haar is one of the city-states of the Iron Authority.

Description[]

Little is known about Ezordam-Haar that is not true of the rest of the Iron Authority, which is marked by towering structures of black iron on a plateau of volcanic rock where no plant life grows. Its one distinguishing description, both in 812 and 836 PD, is that it is the eyrie of the red pegasi.[1][2] (The typical pegasus is a white-colored, chaotic good celestial.[3])

Going by detailed maps of the region, Ezordam-Haar is the only city of the Iron Authority that is on the very edge of the Beynsfal Plateau, bordering the Rifenmist Jungle that their society hopes to conquer, and it appears to be at a high elevation in the clouds, consistent with its use as an "eyrie".

Society[]

Demographics[]

Presumably, like the rest of the Iron Authority, Ezordam-Haar is dominated by hobgoblins, who rule over other goblinkin (mainly goblins) and slaves of various races.[4]

Notable people[]

Ezordam-Haar is ruled by one of the four royal generals serving under Tz'Jarr, the Iron Emperor.[5]

History[]

Background[]

Ezordam-Haar is situated on the volcanic Beynsfal Plateau, the soil of which was reduced to ash and permanently sterilized during the final battle of Bane, the Strife Emperor and his goblinkin legions during the Calamity. For centuries afterward, those hobgoblins who remained asserted power over the other goblinkin, and launched grand military campaigns to grow their holdings, but conquest was always followed by collapse. Then, around 722 PD,[6] the Iron Regiment devoted itself entirely to Bane, impressed their kin into military service, and began a series of conquests called the Iron Tide that conquered the entire Beynsfal Plateau in a decade and brought all of its city-states, including Ezordam-Haar, under its firm control.[7] That empire has lasted through at least 843 PD.[8][9]
