The Emerald Gulch Sea[1] is a body of water within the Frigid Depths, located on the northeastern coast of Wildemount.
Description[]
The Emerald Gulch Sea is bordered to the east by Far Hharom, Xhorhas to the south, and the Greying Wildlands to the northwest. The Kryn city of Jigow's economy is based on fishing out of the sea.[citation needed]
At the mouth of the Ifolon River emptying into the sea is a natural cave system called the Emerald Grotto, which is used for the final challenge of Jigow's annual Festival of Merit. The cave system features several natural dangers, including ghostgrass, swarming quippers, and giant beasts.[2]
Trivia[]
- Despite the name Emerald Gulch, the body of water more closely resembles a gulf, being a deep inlet of sea almost entirely surrounded by land, whereas a gulch is a narrow ravine.
