Edgar Lycoris is "a skilled if stern surgeon whose operating techniques were honed in the halls of the Grand Halen Hospital."[1] He is played by Alexander Ward.
Description[]
Edgar's appearance is unexceptional in every way, and he tends therefore to blend into a crowd. He has small, round glasses and his clothes appear to have been selected by someone else. He appears not to have slept well.[2] He has a large scar on his body, which he keeps hidden under his clothing.[3]
Edgar's purpose in life has always been to help people, and he sometimes has a difficult time reconciling that with the actions he must take (or fails to take) as a Candela operative.[4]

Eighteen years ago in 1889, Edgar watched his sister Elizabeth "blow away like dust" in Regent Park,[5] apparently struck by the same kind of force as the Circle later encountered in the battle in the Cemetery from a weapon manufactured by Malcolm Trills' family.[6] She attempted to hold onto Edgar as this happened, leaving burn scars in the shape of her hands on his arm and neck.[7] The War began five years later, in 1894.[8]
Edgar works at the Grand Halen Hospital. He is a top tier surgeon.[9]
