Dusttras are massive creatures that tunnel beneath the badlands of the Hellcatch Valley in Marquet.
Description[]
A dusttra resembles a large cephalopod, around eighty to one hundred feet long,[7] threaded with deep set brown veins that occasionally shift or ripple with color.[8] Its body is carapaced, and has three large, cerulean blue eyes. Their body ends in twenty-four long tentacles, the ends of which split into hand-like graspers.[9][10]
Dusttras are typically scavengers,[2] and are rarely seen on the surface. They are seemingly somewhat intelligent, able to understand Common.[11]
History[]
One such dusttra was bereft of their children and, traversing the Hellcatch Valley in search for them,[12] lashed out in anger on any wayfarer who crossed their way and may or may not caused their suffering.[13] In the summer of 843 PD, they caught a caravan of goods traveling toward Bassuras. Bells Hells, supported by the crew of the Silver Sun, managed to connect with the conscious side of this creature and persuade the dusttra to temporarily abandon their furious intent.
