Taskhand Durth Mirimm is a drow soldier in command of the Kryn Dynasty's forces at Jigow.
Description[]
Personality[]
Durth is very loyal to the Kryn Dynasty, but neglects the needs of the town he is assigned to, causing a strained relationship with local leaders.[3][4]
Biography[]
Durth joined or was born as a member of Den Mirimm in the Kryn Dynasty, being therefore a nobleman of notable influence due to his family contacts. At some point before 836 PD his military merits helped him achieved the rank of Taskhand, and he was given charge of the Aurora Watch in Jigow.[5]
This city, as part of the Kryn Dynasty, needed an intermediary between its elders, Colbu Kaz and Ushru, and the government, and Durth was supposed to act as such. However, his priorities always favored the Kryn Dynasty, and he only cared about how Jigow could benefit the nation,[4] which, combined with his controversial judgments, causes tensions and challenges from the elders, and particularly from Colbu Kaz, who enjoys thwarting Durth and other Kryn representatives.[3]
Durth lives in a two-story, dodecahedron-shaped, stone building which, along with the Aurora Watch guards' wooden barracks, makes up the Dynasty Outpost. The Outpost is nicknamed "Helter-Skelter" owing to the general chaos the Aurora Watch deals with in Jigow.[6]

Trivia[]
- His name seems to derive from the Proto-West Germanic term diurithu, meaning "costliness", "preciousness" or "honour". The name itself is most likely a reference to Durth's attitude towards Jigow's potential as a source of resources rather than as a place to protect.
- As Drow Elite Warrior Durth can cast the Levitate spell, which isn't available to player characters using the drow racial stats.[7] However, the spell does figure as one of the benefits of the Drow High Magic Magic feat.[8]
- Members of the noble Dens of the Dynasty are typically consecuted,[9] though those born into Dens may not be.[10][11][12]
- Durth belongs to the same Den as Skysybil Abrianna Mirimm, who lives as a goblin in 835–836 PD.
