Durent is a dwarven Waverider of the Water Ashari. As an NPC, Durent is played by Matthew Mercer.

Appearance[]
Durent was a very dark skinned, stocky dwarf with very short, dirty blonde hair and an unkempt, tattered and knotted beard. He wore goggles and a throat bead.[1]

Biography[]
Durent escorted Vox Machina beneath the ocean to the Aerie of Torrent, the underwater rift into the Elemental Plane of Water. He showed them three lodestones so that they would know what to look for, and told them they were mostly found buried. He also urged the party to abandon their quest if it went badly, and told them that returning safely was the most important thing.[2]
When Grog, Percival, and Taryon staggered back through the portal after battling the Kraken, Durent escorted them safely to the surface, enquiring anxiously about Keyleth.[3]
