Den Icozrin is one of the twelve noble Dens of the Kryn Dynasty. They are dedicated to the steelwork business.[1] Like all Dens, it is a family that an individual may enter upon consecution and is "returned" to in a new life after anamnesis.[2]
History[]
At some point before 835 PD, the wedding of famed harpist Ereldra Icozrin to their wife was sabotaged by their brother. Lolth took advatage of Ereldra's despair, driving them to abandon their faith in The Luxon and become a spy for the Children of Malice.[3] As well, Bodo Icozrin was unhappy in his marriage, and he started an affair with a drow woman, known only as "V", before 836 PD.[4]
After the War of Ash and Light began in 835 PD, the Deepriver Mining Camp was extended into the Icozrin Steelworks, which is overseen by Den Icozrin. Bodo was assigned as foreman there.[5][6]
Campaign Two: The Mighty Nein[]
Operations at Icozrin Steelworks were halted by local stone giants, who made the installation their new home and drove the workers out to a temporary camp. At the instruction of Tuss Waccoh, the Mighty Nein visited the camp to help restart mining. Bodo was dismissive of the group and tried to reject their help, but Fjord intimidated him into compliance by falsely claiming that he was no longer in favor with Den Icozrin.[7] In the course of successfully returning the stone giants to their home in The Braan, the party found evidence of Bodo's affair, including a love letter.[8] Because Tuss requested they embarrass Bodo if possible as a personal favor to her, the Mighty Nein publicly read the letter aloud to the workers and soldiers under his command before they left for Rosohna.[9]
