The demonshell armor is a malleable protective garment that although it counts as half plate armor, does not interfere with the wearer's stealth rolls.
Description[]
This armor can look like a cloak with a scale pattern, or turn into a crimson liquid.[4] In clothing form, it appears to be a burgundy leather half-cloak with metal scales providing a textured red scaled appearance across the torso.[5] Alternatively, it appears like a rust-red bodysuit of scale armor, clinging tightly to the wearer's body.[6]
Thanks to its properties, the armor can adhere to someone's body beneath their normal clothes, or act as a cloak; in both cases it offers effective protection without affecting the stealth of whoever is using it.[7] It cannot be easily removed, but the wearer can will openings to appear for purposes such as using the bathroom.[8]
The armor does have a faint fiendish essence that can be sensed with magic.[9]
History[]
A set of this armor was in a laboratory in the Genesis Ward, in the ruins of Aeor. It was found by Bells Hells after the apogee solstice of 843 PD, and although initially they thought it was dirty and ruined, after Identifying it they learned its properties.[10][11] It was given to Chetney Pock O'Pea[3] who attuned to it the next morning and began using it as his regular armor.[12]
Trivia[]
- This armor seems to be a variation of the Molten Bronze Skin, a magical armor from 5th Edition.[13]
- It is also similar to Demon Skin, a magical armor from 5th Edition. However, while Demon Skin does have resistance to poison damage, it is only found in heavy armor varieties, while Molten Bronze Skin can be medium or heavy.[14]
- Given its name and the fact that Bells Hells found one near the Nox Engine where Dominox was kept, it might have been an Aeorian creation using demonic power.
