Dawnborn Angels are a specific type of angelic celestial that serves Pelor the Dawnfather.[1]

Description[]

The Dawnborn angel that came to help defend the Hearthdell temple of the Dawnfather appeared to be a beautiful glowing figure of light, with golden-feathered wings and carrying a fiery longsword. He had a deep, resonant voice, saying, "Leave or be judged," as he descended from above.[2]

Abilities[]

  • Flight
  • Fire Resistance[3]
  • Radiant Longsword - two attacks
  • Fiery Castigation - wraps the target in fiery golden chains, restraining them and inflicting radiant damage[4]
  • Spellcasting

History[]

In 843 PD, as Bells Hells and the villagers of Hearthdell were defeating the forces in the Sunrise Sanctuary, even killing Flameguide Kiro, a Dawnborn angel was sent to the temple, ordering those present to leave the place or be judged.[7] Although the townsfolk and their leader were intimidated by the angelic entity, the adventuring party, as well as the Earth Guardian summoned by Elder Abaddina and the barlgura summoned by Prism Grimpoppy, fought the celestial warrior, and eventually Bor'Dor Dog'Son managed to kill him by kissing his forehead and casting Inflict Wounds, destroying his physical form, although Bor'Dor felt extremely guilty afterwards when he remembered the last look of pity and compassion that the angel had given him.[8]
