Crute is the dwarven owner of the Feed and Mead inn located in Alfield. As an NPC he was played by Matthew Mercer.

Appearance[]
Crute had tousled white-gray hair and a single tuft of beard that dangles down down toward the bellybutton before it hit a ring of gold.[2]
Personality[]
Crute was ornery and salty-looking, and, in conversation, tended to look above or at person's shoulder due to his poor sight.[3]
Biography[]
"The Open Road" (2x05)[]
After the Mighty Nein returned to Alfield after defeating the Knolls, Bryce told them that Crute had rooms for them at the Feed & Mead Inn.[4]
"The Howling Mines" (2x06)[]
The next morning, Crute accepted Jester's offer to help him make breakfast. He didn't notice Jester switch the salt and sugar in the kitchen.[5]
"The Gates of Zadash" (2x08)[]
Crute was pleased by the increase in clientele at the Feed & Mead, after the Mighty Nein announced they would be drinking there to a large group of people. Crute, who had been renting the rooms to the party free of charge, began charging them a discounted price of 3 silver per room.[6]
"Beyond the Boundaries" (2x32)[]
Crute recognized the Mighty Nein when they returned to Alfield and met with Bryce at the Feed & Mead. He wasn't pleased when Jester used Thaumaturgy to open all the windows of the inn, and shattered one of the windows.[7]
