Critical Role: The Tales of Exandria is a graphic novel series published by Dark Horse Comics. It follows characters outside of Vox Machina and The Mighty Nein to explore other non-player characters and locations across Exandria.[1]
The Bright Queen[]
The first series of The Tales of Exandria follows the Bright Queen, Leylas Kryn and is set in about 855 PD.[2] It is a four-issue series written by Darcy Van Poelgeest (Little Bird) and illustrated by CoupleOfKooks with covers by Helen Mask. Matthew Mercer provided creative consultation.[1]
Issue #1 was released October 20, 2021[3] with Issue #2 following November 24, 2021,[4] Issue #3 on December 22, 2021,[5] and Issue #4 on March 9th, 2022.[6]
Artagan[]
The second series of The Tales of Exandria features Artagan explaining his activities in other planes of existence before the Seelie and Unseelie Courts. It is to be be written by Sam Maggs and illustrated by Aviv Or with the first issue's cover by Toby James Sharp. Matthew Mercer provided creative consultation.[7]
Issue #1 (of four) is projected to release on January 3, 2024 in comic shops.
