Clara Lionett is the mother of Beauregard Lionett. As an NPC, Clara Lionett is played by Matthew Mercer.
Description[]
Appearance[]
Clara is a human woman with darker olive skin and blue eyes like her daughter Beauregard.[3] Her hair is put up into a very tight bun with a bit of pony tail that dangles behind. When Beau visited her, she wore a deep green dress that was very nice for being casually at home, but appeared comfortable.[4]
Personality[]
Beau believes that her mother is passive and will not stand up to her father, Clara's husband Thoreau Lionett, even when he is in the wrong.[5] In his presence, Clara takes her cues from him. But when he is not, she was stated to be a far more caring parent.
Biography[]
Background[]
Unlike her husband Thoreau, Clara came from a wealthy family. The vineyards owned by the family in Kamordah have prospered and they are now very wealthy themselves.

"Home is Where the Heart Is" (2x92)[]
Beau and the Mighty Nein returned to her family estate and were welcomed by a startled Clara. Beau and her mother exchanged warm but stilted hugs, and Clara invited them to dinner. Thoreau Junior ran in, and Clara told him that this was his sister. When Beau asked Clara if she knew she was pregnant when they sent Beau away Clara remained silent. She apologized for how the situation when Beau was sent away was handled, saying that she knew it didn't mean much and that Beau was right, it should have been handled differently.
Post-campaign[]
According to two post-campaign tweets by Matthew Mercer, Clara was not aware of the depths of the collusion between her husband and Archivist Zeenoth, but also did not follow up on her suspicions. He described the dynamic within the family as "complicated," saying that "Thoreau’s toxic behaviors are very specific in their timing & targets, and otherwise appears a wonderful husband/father."[6]
Following the revelations of Zeenoth's trial and Thoreau's time in jail, that dynamic was shaken, giving Clara the strength and impetus to take their son T.J. and leave. "She isn’t without her feeling of guilt for not seeing things as they were/believing him entirely, but she is trying to begin anew and make amends."[1]
Relationships[]
Clara was married to Thoreau Lionett until late 836 PD.[1] Together they have two children, Beauregard Lionett and Thoreau Lionett Jr.
