The Chamber of Lords-Advisory ostensibly are advisors to the officially governing Revolutionary Council of Dol-Makjar. It includes representatives of the Sundered Houses. At the beginning of Campaign Four, their power had been growing ever stronger.

History

Prior to the beginning of Campaign Four, the Chamber had been slowly repressing the use of magic, with only House Royce and Lady Aranessa Royce speaking against this and becoming increasingly cut off from the other Sundered Houses. The Chamber had successfully advised the Revolutionary Council to revoke the license to practice arcane magic in the Penteveral, a college training magic users within the city, saying that: "It was the feeling of the Chamber of Lords-Advisory to the Revolutionary Council that casting magic is not necessary for the study of wizardry."

Thjazi Fang was the first person sentenced to death by the authority of the Chamber of Lords-Advisory to the Revolutionary Council as a traitor, arcanist, and murderer, demonstrating their growing power in the city.

As Campaign Four opened, the Chamber of Lords-Advisory had determined that public funds had become diminished, justifying their privatization of the Revolutionary Guard by closing most of its functions and taking them over itself.
