Celwyn was a blue male dragonborn child held (with his mother Celeste and sister Celdria) in Rybad-Kol prison as of the final battle of the Calamity.[3] As an NPC, Celwyn was played by Brennan Lee Mulligan.

Description[]

Celwyn was vacant and crying to himself while in the caravan of dragonborn being sent to The Scaled Tyrant, in contrast to his sister who was wide-eyed and expectant.[4]

Crokas carrying the children - Lyadrielle

Celwyn, his mother Celeste, and his sister Celdria were part of a caravan of dragonborn being assembled at the prison to be sent to The Scaled Tyrant, either to fight on the front lines or to be eaten by her. They happened to be seated next to Crokas and Erro Mordaurum, and when Rei'nia Saph arrived with a convincing story that Crokas was contagious, they were part of the group taken to the prison's oubliette in order to minimize the risk of illness being spread. Celwyn was very impressed that a lie had worked to give them a chance at freedom. Thus, they survived the battle between the Strife Emperor and the Prime Deities that took place above them, and termed the damage it caused, "Nuts!" They were part of the group of twelve that began the trek northward in its aftermath. The two children in the party suffered from exhaustion and dehydration along with the others, and after several days, Crokas took them on his back and began walking on all fours, like a monitor lizard, carrying them. When The Stormlord's rain began falling, the children opened their mouths to suck in the life-restoring water, and they were part of the group that witnessed the Stormlord's farewell and gift of Stormgirdle to Crokas.

Crokas, Celeste, and the children - Odd

Celwyn reached Torm's Hill with the rest of the party, and was present when soldiers of the Strife Emperor arrived and were bloodily defeated. Seeing Crokas still lost in battle frenzy afterwards, Celwyn and his sister approached and embraced him, helping him to calm down. When Celeste approached and started whispering in Draconic, Celwyn realized that Crokas couldn't understand the language, so he translated for him, telling him that he had saved them.[5]

"Mirror and Key" (E4x03)[]

As Crokas was leaving Torm's Hill with his party, the two dragonborn children approached and hugged him, asking why the white dragonborn had to go. Coswald explained to them that Crokas had to take care of Fiedra, and promised that he would now look after them and their mother.[6]

  • Celwyn: See? Lying is great sometimes.
Nia: Sometimes it's okay. Sometimes, to save your friends and your family, but you always have to tell them after the fact that you have lied. You have to tell the truth about lying.
