Celindar is an Elven warrior, Verdant Lord and head of the Verdant Guard of Syngorn.[3]
Biography[]
As of 812 PD and 836 PD, Celindar was Verdant Lord of Syngorn, one of the titles of the Wardens of Syngorn. As Verdant Lord, he commands the armies of Syngorn and Beryl Keep, the fortress-district that houses the Verdant Guard.[5][6]
If Celindar was Verdant Lord around 800 PD,[7][8] he had a daughter, who was pickpocketed by Vax'ildan in the Tarn Thoroughfare.[9] The Verdant Lord also later sent a letter to Syldor Vessar informing him of his son's illegal activities.[10]
If Celindar was head of the Verdant Guard in early 811 PD, that was during the time of the Siege of Emon, in which Syngornian forces fought alongside the Tal'Dorei military to take back Emon from Thordak the Cinder King and his lizardfolk army. While their equivalent in the Tal'Dorei military, Warmaster Mikael Daxio, was present, Vox Machina did not meet Celindar.
Between 812 PD and 836 PD, Celindar received a vision from the Arch Heart, after which he began using any pronouns and "relinquished any sort of gender presentation".[2]
Abilities[]
Celindar is an accomplished warrior. As head of the Verdant Guard, she handles all military strategy and instruction within the bounds of the Verdant Expanse.[3] A master strategist, they use a seeing crystal in Beryl Keep's war room to view the Verdant Expanse in its entirety, and command the Guard like a chessmaster, always one step ahead of the forest's wild threats.[11]
