Brood Pit

The Brood Pit is a seed-like object produced by the the All-Minds-Burn being.

Description[]

The pit is a hard shelled object about the size of an orange.^[1] It is some form of fungus.^[2]

History[]

"Embattled in Bassuras" (3x70)[]

The Brood Pit was created when Imogen Temult asked the All-Minds-Burn being if it wanted to see the moon. A portion of its central stalk split slightly to release the Pit, and Justi Pross urged them to take it with them, saying, "It wants to be seeded," and there were many who were part of it who could aid when needed as long as, if they reached the surface of Ruidus, they left it there. Although Imogen didn't want to touch the Pit, Ashton Greymoore picked it up, and they agreed.^[3]

"Ruidus" (3x83)[]

Ashton considered planting the seed on Ruidus in the shallow cavern in which the party sheltered from a storm, but Imogen felt strongly it should be planted deep underground because that was the environment the parent plant lived in, and Ashton agreed to wait.^[4]
