The Boots of the Vigilant are a pair of Xhorhasian magical boots made of very dark jagged leather embedded with studs. Their tops curl into two spikes at the tip.[3]
History[]
The boots originally belonged to a Kryn echo knight named Thuron. The boots were claimed by the Mighty Nein, along with Thuron's sword, after the party found him in the sewers[4] following his unsuccessful raid on the Zauberspire in Zadash to retrieve a stolen Luxon Beacon.[5] The sword eventually went to Fjord, while the boots were given to Beauregard Lionett.[6]
Properties[]
While wearing these boots, the wearer can sense impending danger. After rolling initiative, the wearer can choose to roll 1d8 and add it to their initiative roll. Once this ability is used, it cannot be used again until the next dawn.[1]
