The bespelled gem is a magical gem that acts as an extradimensional prison for fey criminals.
Description[]
Appearance[]
This floating cut gem shines with a pale light, although with some blue, pink, and yellow hues in its facets.
Inside of it there were purple glimpses of people in agony, "trapped in a space that is neither here, nor there", in Sammanar's own words.[1]
History[]
The bespelled gem was the worst prison the fey courts had access to. Several individuals, including a bugbear and a hag, were sealed inside.
At some point around 846 PD,[2] during the trial against Lord Artagan of the Morncrown, the archfey wasn't taking the matter too seriously, so Potentate Sammanar summoned the bespelled jewel, showing what it was capable of. Despite this, Artagan refused to show his fear, and compared the prison with his ex-boyfriend's place.[3]
Trivia[]
- The Yore mirrors are a similar form of crystal imprisonment of the fey.[4]
