Athudashionus is an ancient silver dragon[1] and a guardian of the Platinum Sanctuary in Vasselheim. As an NPC, they are played by Matthew Mercer.

Athudashionus is a massive silver dragon who almost looks like a statue when not moving.[2]

Background[]
As an ancient dragon, Athudashionus was born at least eight centuries ago. A follower of the Platinum Dragon, as of 843 PD they had spent centuries as a protector and guardian of the Platinum Sanctuary in Vasselheim and the worshippers there.[3]
"The Cradle's Convocation" (3x104)[]
After the apogee solstice of 843 PD Athudashionus was present in the Dawn City during an important meeting of the Exandrian Accord. The silver dragon stayed outside, watching the city. When Bells Hells and their friends were walking nearby, Athudashionus looked almost like a statue until the tail moved, surprising the adventurers.
"Collecting Legends" (3x105)[]
Athudashionus attended the meeting the following morning, latching into the ceiling invisibly while observing everything. They were noticed by Chetney Pock O'Pea and Dorian Storm, who had cast See Invisibility on themselves, and scared both by just looking at them.[4] When Highbearer Vord asked, the silver dragon became visible and activated a massive Zone of Truth spell in the Sanctuary, making sure everyone spoke truthfully.[5] Later, Athudashionus was impressed by seeing Ashton Greymoore and Fearne Calloway display primordial powers.[6]
"Assault on the Malleus Key" (3x113)[]
When the Exandrian Accord sent their army through portals to attack the Red Center, Athudashionus joined them. The silver dragon was seen flying through the dust storm surrounding the excavation, fighting winged Ruidian monsters to keep them away from the skyships.

Athudashionus presumably has the typical abilities of an ancient silver dragon, as well as spellcasting, being able to turn invisible, speak telepathically, and cast a wide-range Zone of Truth spell in the Platinum Sanctuary.[7]
