The Ashari are a multiracial people divided into four tribes: Air, Earth, Water, and Fire. Each of the four tribes live in locations where the Elemental Planes begin to bleed into the Material Plane. The Ashari work to protect the different planes.
Background
Each tribe is ruled by a headmaster. To become a headmaster, one must first go through the Aramente, or "Noble Odyssey", and visit the other tribes.
The Air Ashari live in Zephyra[spelling?], the Fire Ashari live in Pyrah in Othanzia, and the Water Ashari live in Aquas[spelling?].[1]
Keyleth is the daughter of the headmaster of the Air Ashari and is currently on her Aramente. The last Air Ashari member that went on the Aramente was her mother, and she never returned.
Fire Ashari
In 4x02, Lady Allura and Keyleth revealed through a scrying ritual that Thordak had returned from the Elemental Plane of Fire to the Material Plane through Pyrah, completely "decimating" the Fire Ashari in the process.
