The Aishio were a culture on the island of Kalutha in the Shattered Teeth, and were considered part of the Ossended Host.[1] They speak Ywan and Common.

History[]

The Aishio had a hunting tradition and some level of understanding of enchantments, being able to create Raito charms to protect specific individuals, even though they weren't infallible: Iffodola and their hunting party were killed by a basalt caecilian at some point between 823 and 843 PD.[2][3]

In 843 PD Bells Hells encountered an Aishio hunting party they had unintentionally lured in by activating one of their traps. They gave them the raito charm that used to belong to Iffodola, as a gesture of good faith (as well as remains of other belongings found in the caecilian's lair), receiving some information about the area in return. However, the hunters did not trust the adventurers, and urged them to resolve their affairs on Kalutha on their own and leave as soon as possible.[4]

Known members[]

  • Iffodola, a fallen hunter, and their family:[5]
    • Shotas (significant other, unclear relationship)
    • Ro, Sakagi, and Temu (children)
    • Gyodoba (father)
  • Unnamed hunter woman

Trivia[]

  • If the huntress encountered by Bells Hells can be used as an example, face markings are characteristic of this culture, and dark blue eyes are a trait present among their people.[6]
  • If the inscriptions in Iffodola's raito charm can be used as an example, the belief system of this culture includes faith in "the cycle of destruction and creation."[7] Evontra'vir also seems to be an important part of their culture, since they leave offerings in his roots.[8]
