An Aeorian nullifier is a variety of Aeorian hunter designed to destroy divinity.[1]

Description[]

An Aeorian nullifier is a humanoid creature that stands around ten to twelve feet tall. Its arms are long and almost drag the ground, ending in oversized clawed hands. A serpentine head is placed on the brownish-yellow and leathery body, with patches of orange along the arms and legs. Its chest has numerous mouths filled with fangs, which leave a dreadful impression on the timorous traveler.[1][4][5]

Nullifiers were created during the Age of Arcanum to be the bane of all magic with their magic resistance and innate spellcasting abilities. They are immune to necrotic and radiant damage.

Abilities[]

Horrid Gnashing: Each creature that starts its turn within 20 feet of the nullifier and can hear it must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw. Unless the save succeeds, the creature rolls a d8 to determine whether it is stunned, frightened, or willing to attack anyone nearby.

Innate Spellcasting (Charisma spell save DC 16):

  • At will: Counterspell (to counter 4th or higher level spell, requires a contested check with DC equal to 10 + the spell’s level. Also can be used as a reaction), Detect Magic, Dispel Magic, See Invisibility
  • 1/day: Antimagic Field

Origin[]

See Aeorian hunter

Appearances[]

The Mighty Nein found a nullifier intact within its containment tube within the ruins of A2 on Foren in Eiselcross.[4]
