Advik (pronounced /ˈædvɪk/) is a human man who runs Advik's Wandering Curiosities and Collections in Elder's Post. As an NPC, Advik is played by Matthew Mercer.

Description[]

Appearance[]

Advik is a thin human man with black hair, which he wears side-parted and slicked back into a long ponytail. He has a thin pencil mustache which extends beyond the corners of his mouth, and good posture. When the Bells Hells first met him, he wore a button-down shirt with a weatherbeaten cloak over it.[3]

Personality[]

Advik is somewhat theatrical in his interactions, and tells long anecdotes about how he procured the items he has for sale.[4]

Biography[]

Background[]

Some time ago, Advik claimed to have walked in the outskirts of the Heartmoor of Oderan Wilds and met a young herbalist named Amarash. After a night of drinks, he began to regale Advik with the tales of his family's great technique in brewing the finest of herbal remedies, which he lost over a game of cards that night.[5]

"On the Trail of a Killer" (3x04)[]

Milo told Ashton that Advik might be a good option for getting in contact with the Hubatt Corsairs.

"The Threat Between the Walls" (3x05)[]

Juraya led the party to Advik, and Imogen determined via Detect Thoughts that Juraya was hoping for a commission for doing so. Advik proceeded to tell the party many anecdotes and sold them several potions of healing and a pair of sending stones.

Relationships[]

Advik knows Ashton and seems to be on friendly terms, but Ashton was concerned prior to seeing him that there might have been some tension.[6] Ashton is vague about what the cause of that might be.

Advik was mentioned by Milo as possibly being able to lead people to the Corsairs, but the nature of this relationship has not been revealed.[7]

Juraya has a business deal in which, if she leads interested customers to Advik, she gets some type of unspecified commission.[8]
