4-Sided Dive is a monthly roundtable-style talk show with four guests, discussing episodes of Campaign Three and answering fan questions. It usually airs the first Tuesday of every month on Twitch and YouTube with VODs posted to YouTube the following Wednesday, although scheduling has sometimes moved it to different dates. Originally, one of the guests was chosen by dice roll at the beginning of the episode to be the Tavern Keeper and host the show without prior preparation. Beginning with "4-Sided Dive: Anxiety Game Gauntlet" (4SDx18), the selection of host was done off-camera. On "4-Sided Dive Episode 20: Discussing Up To C3E82" (4SDx20), guest Abubakar Salim acted as host for the show.
On December 18, 2024 it was announced that "4-Sided Dive: What Bits May Come" (4SDx30) would be the last episode talking about the events of Campaign Three.[1]
Content and structure[]
4-Sided Dive is structured as a roundtable discussion led by a Tavern Keeper who guides the group through a series of segments:
- What the Fuck is up with That? - The guests freely discuss a series of topics chosen for the night.
- The Tower of Inquiry - Fan questions are chosen by drawing a block from a "Chenga" tower. Questions are "evergreen" and able to be answered by all guests, including future campaign guest players. There are "serious consequences" when the tower topples.[2] The tower holds 51 questions (17 rows × 3 blocks per row).
- The Deep Dive - Questions specific to each guest, developed by Dani Carr and Kyle Shire, are chosen by drawing slips of paper out of tankards. The tankards were custom designed by Flip This Bitch.[3]
- Gaming - After the break, the guests played a game while trying to answer additional questions from the production team. This segment was dropped after "4-Sided Dive: Oh My Gods" (4SDx26).
