@Laloulaloulalou How's the example in this little subpage look? I don't know if there will be a separate "Story by" credit, but my experience in the business is sometimes there is, so I added one. I very much doubt there will be a "Teleplay by" credit, but that is very easily added.

As you can see, the "Podcast", "VOD", and "Airdate Order" sections are totally optional. By adding nothing to them, they don't appear at all, so we can comfortably ignore whatever does not work for TLVOM. (This also works for "Airtime", so if we don't want to include an airtime, that little "10:00 PST" will simply disappear, leaving only the date.) The "Order" section is what "Chapter Order" is now called. I also added a little "Season" tag up in the episode section, so we can handle multiple seasons of the show.

I could simply add to the documentation discouraging usage of the "Starring" and "SpecialGuests" parameters for TLVOM.

I will add those changes to the live version of the infobox then! If you don't see it added in over the next couple of days, give me a poke—it's a high priority item for the TLOVM prep, so I gotta make sure I do it. Also, I forgot to say, but I think we could just have a singular "new" section, but for people who are brand new new have like a note after their name saying this is their first ever appearance. Like, "Person Person, first overall appearance" or "did not appear on-stream" or "first introduced in the series" or something.

So, the articles would be structured as: Cast, Synopsis, Featured characters, Quotations, Trivia. And we'll use the exact same {{ep ref}} and providing timestamps citation method we've been doing for the campaign eps, just without the URLs in the template. I do think LVM1x01 is a good shortening. It's concise, but it's also clear what it is (just VM would be unclear, but the L helps a lot).

Oh yeah that seems pretty good, it's better if we can get around having less sections. I'd put the cast after the synopsis, though, since most people visit articles to read about the events of the episode first and foremost!

Just thought of something else! We should update the infobox:Character parameters to indicate when characters have appeared in the animated series.

Personally, I think updating every infobox to list their first appearance in TLOVM would be a little much? The Infoboxes are super long as is. But, I HAVE been working on a relevant project.

I've been thinking about streamlining appearances in Infobox Character while expanding it to include the non-stream media. You can check out the drafted new version I've been working on over here at this subpage. The idea is to have a slimmer version of appearances in the Infobox to give a summary overview (like a quick glance to see what works a character is in) and then have a body section of the full list of appearances a character has made for all the detail. There are currently examples of this body section at the following articles: Jarett Howarth, Robert Sharpe, Bluud. (Just like how Bluud and Sharpe have bullets for Jester Origins, or generally how there's a campaign bullet with episode sub-bullets, that could work also for TLOVM.) In this idea, we could mention a character appears in the Infobox, then list later down in the article precisely when without making the Infobox any ridiculously longer than it already ridiculously is but also without losing that information.

Most of the Infobox changes were something I was going to start rolling out sometime in late January, but if it would help with TLOVM, I could start thinking about doing it a little sooner?

I've been thinking about it for a long time, especially because of TLOVM and the comics continue to be a thing and Kith & Kin, and I really like having the Infobox say what works a character is in and I think we should start including non-stream appearances—but also the Infobox is already a pain to scroll on mobile (endless!), but I don't want to lose that appearance information we have! So, a section in the article itself! (Could always make the section collapsible or add a scrollbox or add columns, whichever works best, if it gets super long.)

It'll work super well for TLOVM, because it's a fantastic idea to list when a character appeared in the animated series—very important information.

I also did add to the live version of {{Infobox Episode}} the changes I mentioned above. So, that should be ready to use on TLOVM articles.

I also created a placeholder for TLOVM in {{ep}} and {{ep ref}} just to make sure it's working how we all want. You can view the completed test in this subpage. Obviously it will link to an article with the proper episode name that exists in the future, but otherwise that's what the completed reference will look like. I think it should work for our purposes.

Hey all, feel free to let me know if you'd prefer this as a new thread, but: what's the plan for updating the wiki w/r/t the preview for backers vs. the wide release? I am personally in favor of holding off until wide release, but I'd be interested in knowing what other people think. If editors who have been around since 2019 remember how the Darrington Brigade was handled, that might be a good precedent to use!

I think we should hold off until the official release. It's only a short time, and more editors will have access to it. Otherwise, a lot of us won't be able to help out.
